One unique thing about SafeMoon is that it is not just a cryptocurrency. SafeMoon is also claimed to be a Decentralized Finance or DeFi token. For those who do not know what DeFi is, it is a movement to shift the whole financial realm onto the blockchain, making every task done by banks, stock markets, etc., decentralized or unregulated by governments and other authorities.

The proof of SafeMoon being a DeFi token is in the way it works. It rewards people who hold these tokens and do not trade them. On the other hand, if you sell your SafeMoon cryptos, ten percent of the total amount of crypto coins you sell will be taken as a fee. SafeMoon then distributes five percent of this fee among all those who own SafeMoon coins. PancakeSwap is a decentralized exchange, and purchasing the coin here is a bit more complex and challenging as you cannot complete the entire process on their platform, rather you need to connect an external crypto wallet. PancakeSwap is a great exchange with many advantages, including flexibility to trade freely between coins rather than being limited to trading pairs. However, for the purpose of sharing the simplest way to get SafeMoon coins, for this guide we will explain how to buy SafeMoon on BitMart.

To get started, click the button below to head to BitMart and login or make an account.

When buying SafeMoon on BitMart, you need to pay for it with a coin called Tether (USDT). This is a stable coin based on the USD, so 1USDT always equals 1USD. You can buy USDT using a credit card from any of the USDT vendors, or you can trade any other crypto coins you own for it. Purchasing one cryptocurrency with another is technically known as a coin exchange rather than a purchase.

To purchase USDT so you can ultimately exchange it for SafeMoon, click on the “Buy Coins” tab after logging in.

Next, you will find options to buy coins through several Channels:

Make sure you select “USDT” from the drop down window next to the quantity. Since you are logged in, you will see your BitMart account number pre-filled. Make sure you see that, this is the wallet where your USDT will be deposited. You will be asked to confirm your order:

When your USDT purchase is complete, you can see the value in your account by hovering over your user menu in the top right corner of the homepage (you will see a portion of your email address or username).

Now that you have USDT in your wallet, we are on to the final step of exchanging it for SafeMoon! Head to the Spot section of the site - choose the Standard version for the easiest use:

The Spot screen may look incredibly involved, but our use for it is simple! Search for SafeMoon in the bar on the right side. You will see “SAFEMOON/USDT” appear along with the last price and 24 hour market fluctuation. Click on this result.

Now you will see options to buy or sell SafeMoon beneath the chart. Select the “Limit” tab if you want to specify the price for your exchange, otherwise select the “Market” tab to complete the exchange at the market rate (this is the easiest way if you haven’t been following the fluctuations).
